Why not just trade an equal amount of dollars of the qqq's either long or short? For example, buying $100,000 of the qqq's long, or short instead of 50,000 of the inverse funds? That way you don't have to mess with the end of day placing of orders weirdness.

He could have bought the qqq's when the comp was at 1140 and known what he was getting, and not had to worry about getting the eod price which will be God knows what.
