I would argue there's a direct correlation between a healthy American economy and peace on earth. The end of the Cold War certainly was a factor, and Ronald Reagan deserves much credit for bringing this about.

Unfortunately, the present administration appears clueless on how to address the economic malaise, which reached yet another nadir this afternoon.
