As opposed to which other system on the planet and when?

That's fine, but the idea that they were jsut some saintly ascetics could be wrong....

This is interesting.

When I taught World Regional Geography at BU I taught that China invaded Tibet in 1951 and got in trouble with my Chinese teaching assistant. Since then I haven't been clear on what the real history of Tibet is. I'm still not clear.

but Christianity seems to have gone through more wacko rough spots with outside input [for who knows what self serving reasons] than most. Again... FROM WHAT I KNOW... don't take my word for this. For instance, Issac Newton [Mr. Science himself] concluded that Christianities message and the nature of Christ went astray in the 4th Century. Amazing that such a 'scientist' bothered, no?

I'm still not clear what you mean. Newton was of course relgious and also interested in astrology and alchemy from what I remember....
