Well, there's a Golden Oldie. Who was it who used to say on Usenet, "Braintech will never die"?
The history you offer is compendious, but I have further dim memories: didn't Bio-flo (sp noted) move to Canada and recruit an AIDS researcher from the Cleveland area? Also, was there a time when one of these ops was financed by a loan on art work that belonged to the CEO, which the company stored in the CEO's office? Jeez, if I park my Beamer at the office and bring in my stereo system, can the company borrow 10X their values to pay me for my generosity? Can I then write them off my taxes, and buy the Beamer back for salvage value? Maybe write it off into the sunset. BC is beautiful in the Fall.
Ahh, those were the days! Enron and Global-doodad are just pale imitations. No one from Enron will even call me with a death threat for saying this, because they are hairless wimps. And the folk from CFTN actually have to mine silver to pay the rent-:)
A not-so-dim memory is how I felt when the scamsters started portraying themselves as biotech discovery companies, with imminent hope for serious illness. And they always picked on AIDS. And they sometimes sucked in real people who were sick.
{epithet deleted} Learned that from R.M.Nixon, heh heh, God delete his soul. |
