Back to OT on top and Market on PS
A friend of mine yesterday suggested the real fear of Saddam is not that he will used WMD against us, not that he will use them locally--none of that. It is the fear that within 3 years he will have nukes and use blackmail to dominate mideast politics. For instance Saddam says to Kuwait--give in to my demands or else? Now would a US president be able to get US public support to prevent this--nope! And what could we do anyway--threaten to nuke him if he uses nukes. Even Kuwait would not believe that and would be forced to give in. And of course US could be assuaged for awhile with prospects of lower priced oil. Thoughts from this moribund thread? mike
PS The bears are out in force dominating the chat rooms. IMO they are making the same mistakes as the bulls did in 2000 as they drown out bullish thoughts with new lower targets for the averages, and individual stocks along with talk of inevitable depression. The only question that remains is "are we at the inverse of 5000 naz or 4000 naz or somewhere in between; or better put is there another 10-20% risk in this market? Open this up for debate as well.
