(UPDATE) SystemSoft Jumps 16% After Analyst Makes Positive Comments On TV

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- SystemSoft Corp.'s stock rose 16% Monday after
an Oppenheimer & Co. analyst mentioned it on a cable television show.
Chief Financial Officer Paul Pedevillano told Dow Jones he thinks the
stock may be reacting to the appearance of Oppenheimer analyst James
Poynter on CNNfn over the weekend.
Poynter, who covers the stock for Oppenheimer, wasn't available for
comment.
A CNNfn spokeswoman said Poynter did appear on a show that aired over
the weekend, but didn't have any details.
At the close, SystemSoft (SYSF) was up $1.563 at $11.563 on Nasdaq
volume of 964,300. Average volume is 287,600.
SystemSoft, based in Natick, Mass., makes software that detects and
corrects common problems associated with personal computers.
