DALLAS & HERNDON, Va., Oct 1, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- MigraTEC (OTCBB: MIGR) has selected JB Cubed to act as its sales agent for the federal sector. JB Cubed will market MigraTEC's 32Direct and 64Express automated enterprise application migration solutions in addition to the company's OS/2 migration services to the federal government and major IT contractors.
"Federal agencies are beginning to consolidate their computing systems to more powerful industry standard platforms in order to lower costs, increase security and facilitate interdepartmental communication," said Wes Blair, vice president of sales and marketing, MigraTEC. "JB Cubed's extensive expertise in providing technology to the federal government makes them the perfect choice to spearhead our efforts in this important market."
MigraTEC's 32Direct allows customers to migrate all their C and C++ proprietary UNIX code in a predictable timeframe and at a lower cost to industry standard operating systems, including Windows and Linux. 64Express enables organizations to move C and C++-based Windows and Linux 32-bit applications to Intel- and AMD-based 64-bit platforms in significantly less than half the time required of manual recoding. MigraTEC also offers migration services for customers moving applications from OS/2 to Microsoft Windows.
"Today's focus is on homeland security and the urgent need to share information between the computing environments of different government agencies," said Jim Beaupre, CEO and president, JB Cubed. "Legacy computer systems that cannot communicate rapidly with one another pose a major challenge to this goal. MigraTEC's automated migration solutions address the increasing need for integration by facilitating the rapid migration of applications to industry-standard platforms."
