From early in my career, my approach has been deductive. So starting from my big picture view that we're in secular deflation with a still overvalued broad stock market BUT a positive NG secular trend?

I'd start with companies in all the sub-sectors you mention above (Lg, Mid & small cap inclusive) having strong balance sheets and minimum usage of bank credit lines.

Which of your favs would look good on that screen?
