Bush "stupid?"

Me say that? Not I. "Manipulator?" Yes.

Specifically, I said that "It would be nice, though, if Bush's stupid tough talk at least helped the U.N. develop more credibility and strength to take on Saddam and get necessary international initiatives to be successful."

Scott posted a great article yesterday on how Bush's election ploy of using Iraq to divert public attention from the economy had basically become a "runaway train."

Message 18075798

The irony is that the U.S. could be inadvertently led into a war, unless, of course, the election comes soon. After the election, this "war talk" will stop. Bush will simply argue that it was necessary in order to get the U.N. to take itself seriously or to be taken seriously.

What a show!

The question remains--will Bush ever take the economy or these Wall Street economic rapists seriously?
