I have been trying to figure out what is going on with Bush's speech that is scheduled for Monday. The facts look like this.

1) It was announced that it would be a "Major" Speech.

2) It is not being held at the Oval Office, but on his normal campaign stop.

3) I can't pick up anything from the Beltway pundits about it so far.

4) It can't be a total Political move, as that would be too obvious.

All I can figure is that he wants to personally announce some major Iraqi transgressions. They have to be more than we have officially heard, and the Admin knows that the Media will knock him down if is considered only Political. But it is not important enough for him to go back to the Oval office and deliver.

So no major tactical move. It may just be that he figures it is time for him to recite the reasons why he believes we should go into Iraq. However, he has been doing that anyway. He must want to sway the Senate, is all I can figure. Any Ideas?
