My thanks to both of you for truly excellent and well thought out posts on the use of puts. Both of you are right on the money and lurkers can and should benefit from considering your ideas. There is no dispute with your comments at this end,... in fact, I fully agree with your comments. My comment about put premium was meant to be a generic "heads-up" to folk new to our game, who might not recognize the fact that what you pay in premium has to be a part of the investment equation.

I am delighted that my post has resulted in such excellent commentary. Keep it coming.
