I consider the Holocaust to be objectively evil. But I'm not sure its really worth revisiting the objective/extrinsic vs. subjective morality question again we have been around and around about that before.

But still I don't think there would normally be any need for the professor to go in to any sort of editorial mode. Unless some student tries to argue something like "Hitler wasn't really bad he was just misunderstood" or perhaps "He was just doing what was right for him, its not right for me but I can't judge him", then there would be no need for the professor or another student to argue that Hitler is evil.
