The Russell Sage students don't seem to get beyond the Brueggers Bagels across the street. It's a couple of blocks from my apartment on River Street. There are certainly a hell of a lot more than 3 bars! I figure most are just scared of weird black dudes riding around on bicycles or whatever. My (white) American friend who currently lives in Kent Ohio was petrified when we walking around downtown here. I have no problems at all. My Chinese girlfriend who lives in LA (hopefully moves here next year) wasn't so concerned except riding in a bus to Albany.
