Mephisto,

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize that ducks would have any interest in blackberries.

I took a few hours off at the Bend Fall Festival here today. I leafletted and got a terrific response. The only people who gave me a hard time were three extremely dull Daughters of the American Revolution and the vile husband of one of them. Alas, this lineage has gone too bad seed. What a dreary and dismal diartribe they regurgitated on reasons to go murder innocents in Iraq. They were too tweety-bird stupid to know that Iraq and Saudi Arabia are two separate countries. In fact, one of them told me she wanted them both bombed mercilessly. Crazy aunt in the attic time.

As far as taking time off, Senator Robert Byrd has indicated that if he gets enough citizen support nationwide that he will filibuster Bush's evil scheme forever. I've emailed and told him of my delight with his offer. Perhap the thread can do the same:

byrd.senate.gov

Please take the time to contact Byrd and the rest of our "representatives". I got out about 300 leaflets to a lot of people who thanked me for my efforts. The vast preponderance of people in downtown Bend this weekend oppose Bush's nasty war.

Salaams, Ray
