Yes, it torture all right.
Its a new era for America, where a new generation gets ready to play the games under a new set of rules.
Banks businesses and lawyers have have found the loopholes in the old rules and profited enormously.
Changes just getting underway.
For example, there are one or two generations of young and eager ex-Military pilots ready, able, and willing to fly the airliners for a fraction of what senior pilots make today.
In the past, one could see 4 different gas stations at a single intersection. And later on, 4 different S+L's at a single intersection. And those changed.
Now there seem to be twice as many brokers and funds
as the system can support. It is time for some to step aside with their profits and high life styles and make room for others. But they dont quit easy( hehehe)
I met a lady at a Jones brokerage a few years back,
said she handled all the investments for her entire family. Maybe I should drop by some day, see what she is doing now for a living?
Must be consternation amongst bond traders today.
Inventing exotic program trading systems to make 1/4 point
while bond traders one floor down are doing the same thing with a different set of figures. And both can get wiped out if Mr G make an unexpected move (G)
In summary, I see more changes coming most of which will not help equities prices.

Have just reloaded Win 98 and Netscape- hope nobody else tries that. Its a 3 day job just to get things running again. SI still wont let me in until I get password straightened out- this is written on wife's computer.
