Hi Nadine: How reliable is this source usually?

memri is extremely accurate in terms of sourcing their statements and translating accurately. Arab complainers usually confine their complaints to saying that memri picks stuff that makes the Arabs look bad (I say, if you don't like how it makes you look, don't print it).

memri doesn't vouch for the accuracy of what is said in the articles it translates, unless the memri article says so specifically. They pick stuff on the basis of 'the Arab press reported this, we find it interesting'. Most of the stuff they translate is propaganda of the sort that doesn't make it into the Western media, with an occasional break from a dissident Arab voice writing in some London-based Arab newspaper.
