I'm not a PTT user so it is tough for me to tell what is a deal breaker on PTT. If you can get it down to 3 seconds does it become interesting? The CDMA version is supposed to be full-duplex so I would think that would help.

Nextel's latency on Direct Connect is less than one second. Anybody offering a PTT product with a three second delay would be foolish, in my opinion. Waiting three seconds to speak each time a conversation changed would become extremely frustrating. Even a one second delay takes some getting used to. I recall my first Nextel brick, I mean phone, and the effort it took to wait even one second before pushing "the button" and speaking. Three seconds would be suicide, especially when competing against Nextel.

Any idea how a full duplex works? Do both parties need to hold "the button" at the same time for full duplex?
