I wouldn't buy a PC without a CD-R/W. I have small dos programs that back-up everything in "My Documents" on my hard drive that I run daily. Once a week I run another dos program to copy that data over to a CD_R/W and once a month I burn a CDR for a firedisk that I locate outside my house.

BTW, will DOS programs run on WindowsXP?
