Owww!! "Plan 9 from Outer Space" Huge!! I could pen a 3 hour spoof on the parallels between the two! You are a genus in your ability to look through all the clutter to see the truth!

As a start for the story line...How about BLS was sent here to destroy the satellite industry in preparation for an alien invasion. (Are the aliens that advanced if BLS is the front line operative? It would have made better theatre had the system become depended upon - before - crashing to earth, making the failure that much more intense. I mean for the world as opposed to the share holders of the time.)
Parallels to tackle - will we need to find a stand in to finish the piece? Can we manage to find such a hapless supporting cast to play the Telecom 'service providers?" Can we purposely install enough flaws in the original script so people will spend years finding them (Oh wait, we already have a couple of years lead on that!)

(p.s. BLS commented to being 'on plan' any number of times. Never produced any plans. Not the old ones, not the new ones. As always just: Trust me and if you dont trust me, you must be a ' 7 minute investor', which by implication, not capable of the foresight (i.e. brain power) necessary to see the revolution in satellite communications that was to come. Yeah and the British failed to see the Revolution in the colonies!)
