Don't misunderstand, I wouldn't touch a commercial real estate REIT with a 10 foot pole. I was reminding people that these deals are usually put together to facilitate the real estate players force feeding their properties into the REIT in order to cash themselves out on the public's back -- you can bet your grandmother they aren't doing it with the intent of 'sharing the wealth' with the little guys
