Well, not exactly but close.

Yes, I do think older students--any students old enough to be studying modern European history--should be allowed to make up their minds about right and wrong, about which side was more just and which side less just. (There was no absolute black and white even in WWII; it came closer than many, but there were still some good things on both sides and some bad things on both sides. Just, IMO, lots more good on ours and lots more bad on theirs.)

Students, IMO, are like cats. Try to push them into a position, and their backs get up. Let them decide that's where they want to go, and they're all for it.
