Cyles of time. In each of the past cycles we have come back on top. We have never had high poverty and war as you say is one costly endeavor.

In CA it use to be that people who came over the border from Mexico found that it was possible to get an income. There were few people who would do the jobs they would do.
Now there is competition in this level.

The undeveloped world is developing. This puts a different slant on the American Job market as well as the Stock Market.
