Troubled Large Loans Rise at Banks
Tuesday October 8, 11:24 am ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In a sign of accumulated shocks to the U.S. economy, large business loans in trouble held by U.S. banks in 2002 grew 34 percent from the previous year to $236.1 billion, banking regulators said on Tuesday.

A record $19.6 billion in credits were classified as losses, up 145 percent from the previous year's losses of $8 billion, regulators said.

In my opinion the economy has held up as well as it has due to the grave diggers. When this is over with we will continue downward we won't have enough high paying job creation to off set the inflation we have created. We are a nation that needs two income earners oretty soon we are going to need three at the present cost of housing.
