Getting back to selling the Aug. calls. What prompted you to sell them? Which options on UTEK, from your perspective, represent the best risk reward ratio?

Two reasons: UTEK looked like it would peak around the end of the SEMICON show or before. The other reason was that 27-30 ssems to be a hard hurdle to get over recently. Besides, when you more than triple your investments (some even quadruple) in options, you are foolish to not taske profits. Most options expire worthless so when you have a homerun, don't let it turn out to be a loser. Besides, we were getting close to options expiry Friday for the Julys. I figured that the "powers that be" were going to jerk this stock around. Actually, they did it to a lesser extent than I thought, since UTEK has held on stronger than I anticipated.

The late year options are looking very attractive to me (the NOV 30s I think are the next foray for me).

Sergio- I like your options idea and that of others but I still may go with the NOV 30s unless there is an earnings pullback.

As far as TRIKON is concerned, I did visit their booth and was somewhat impressed with what I saw. However, it will be an uphill battle for them just because of the new name and no name recognition from the predecessor companies. I do not think it was a well visited booth relative to others. IT might have been the times of the day that I visited. My strategy for the coming year does include seeing the "fans at the booth" at SEMICON. Call it crude but everytime I see an obnoixously large crowd at a booth for 3 days straight and more company reps busy at the booths (even sweating), as majority of them have a good upcoming year.

I could be wrong but TRIKON did not get the reception I think good enough for me to invest in at this time. I saw some very impressive competitive products that are name-branded and comprable in price and performance. I really did not see anything to set my heart on fire. For that reason, I will be passing on an investment oppportunity here. Sorry if these aren't the observations you wanted to hear.

Andrew

BTW-I am a recovering x00 aught-coholic so it may have been for the best that Jerome took the #1000 in order to save me from 00 depravity.<GGG>
