Three men were adrift in a lifeboat. The Pessimist said, "Our canteen is 1/2 empty." The optimist replied, "no, it is 1/2 full." The realist sternly retorted, "we have only 1/2 a canteen of water, if we are not spotted within 5 days we are all dead."
I am not pessimistic, I am realistic. With $115,000 of debt for very man, woman, and child in this nation, we are in trouble. If, as in Japan, we enter into a deflationary cycle, this debt will crush us. You are silly. "Peace and prosperity to all". As if warm and fuzzies feelings will buy us out of this fiscal mess. Sorry, it will take hard work and belt tightening. |
