Electronic Engineering Times is the leading trade journal for the electronics/semiconductor industry. They cover the DSP industry extensively, mainly in the form of TXN ADI MOT and other big names in DSP chips. The new young and talented SSPIF VP of marketing, Ron Wages, formerly from TXN, has been extensively quoted in the magazine while at TXN( do a search for his name at www.techweb.com). He will likely mean a great deal for SSPIF in the future due to 1) his contacts both within and outside TXN, 2) his experience in acquisitions(ie Tartan), 3) his experience in new product launches(ie c6x). TXN is the dominant force in DSP chip design and for him to leave a promising career at TXN to come to SSPIF says a great deal for what he feels about the future of SSPIF and SSPIF management.
