Thank you;Re Turkey,Kurds and not giving muslim conservatives cause for grievence would be two reasons to try to sit on the fence.Since they are a key area for oil pipelines as you point out means they can afford to sit tight.
Given the choise between having oil and being its conduit,I might choose to be the conduit.

One of the problems with schools here is that they have no organised sport programs.What sports there are;soccer,swimming, tennis,dance&karate are run by community centers which means picking the kids up at school and driving them to the sports area,like in little league.As a single full time parent it will keep my hands full when my girls ,4yrs&6yrs,start sports. For them that means karate,tennis,swimming or dance,they do not have co ed soccer,yet.

If Gm picks it up with out concessions for plant closures and lay offs Gm could find it an expensive aquisition loaded with alot of local political restrictions .
A question often asked here is why few foriegn firms want to set up factories here.
