ought four elections

Back as a lad, when the old ones would refer to aught three or aught five or aught eight, I always thought it was aught and not ought. So after your post, I decided to "look it up". While my dictionary certainly has aught meaning the number 0, it also says I should see ought. When I did, I got confused about the regional differences for the negative of ought and lost the trail.

Need to learn how to cipher.
