I'm nibbling at AMAT myself, but I do worry about the sector. I'm concerned that this is the time the music stops, and semis become a plain old cyclical rather than a growth cyclical. "Fortress" balance sheets can only protect you so much if the fundamentals of the business are eating away at the foundations. I don't have access to the historical data, but I'd bet a lot of the steelmakers had great balance sheets in the 1950's.

OT: how do you plan to play the tax loss selling this year? Should be interesting.
