I beg to disagree. Your statement is favouritism. And as any school teacher can tell you, it is not a correct stance for a dominant power (i.e. teacher in school or the US in the world) to take.

I am trying to put myself in your position. And no, there is no way I would support another person/country/being in acts that I deem wrong, just because he/it is closer to my way of thinking than his/its neighbours.
