Fortunately for everyone, the Miskitos came to realize the CIA was manipulating them, and they put down their arms and negotiated a treaty with the Sandinistas.

Fortunately for the Miskitos, the Sandinistas were benign and did not slaughter them, as a typical American-supported 3rd-world government would have done.
