Wrong! It was easy to 'imagine a bunch of sorry bastards flying planes into buildings', hell, there were specific intelligence warning to the U.S. in the months leading up to the attacks from at least four separate foreign intelligence services, including telephonic intercepts from the Eschalon system. There were specific warning from the C.I.A. of this possibility for literally YEARS... in fact the scenario had been considered in several US Department's disaster planning 'war gaming' a couple of times. <LOL> It was even a plot line in a major Tom Clancy novel read by millions World-wide! And in May of 2001, specific intelligence warnings were given of a plot by al Qaeda to fly commercial airliners into the gathering of World leaders at the G8 summit in Turin, Italy. Anti-Aircraft missiles were moved into a ring around the G8 meeting, and airspace was restricted to defend against JUST SUCH AN ATTACK! Our Government, being such an important participant at the G8 meeting was certainly involved in all the security matters... and FULLY INFORMED! Any attempt by high government leaders to claim that this possibility was 'unimaginable' (like Condy Rice claimed with a straight face on national TV) is a FLAT OUT LIE!
