amen, mike, amen -
but just to show you how trusting (and stupid) i am, the reason i tried to download this latest beta is that i had installed the first ie 4.0 when it first came out, and found it to be unstable - mike tyson type temperament, you know. so i figured that the second ie 4 beta had to have fixed the glitches, right? i mean, a reputable company wouldn't unleash a monster onto the unsuspecting public, would it?
as i said, i'm trusting, but not bright.
how does msft get away with it? maybe the recent stock action (coupled with the cfo's assertion that they didn't buy back any shares last quarter because they felt the stock was fairly valued - or words to that effect) indicates the party is coming to an end. with no new products on the horizon and win 98 being an anticlimax by all accounts, maybe java will indeed be the dagger into dracula's heart.
