Your view about the Jews as the Chosen People sounds kinda simplistic to me.

Not too long ago, someone wrote the following famous words which incidentally happen to be his only claim to fame:-

HOW ODD
OF GOD
TO CHOOSE
THE JEWS.

For FWIW (whatever it may be worth), a Buddhist monk once said that the Jews brought upon themselves the "persecution" they have been experiencing, and that this is a consequence of the evil karma they incurred in the days of yore when the Israelites were supreme and they treated others like shit. As the saying goes, what goes around comes around. It is quite remarkable how the propaganda of this day and age would like to have us believe that, directly or indirectly, we have been the persecutors and that we ought to feel ashamed of ourselves and to make recompense and what better way to do this than to acknowledge their "Chosen-ness". When in fact what is happening is the natural consequence of natural law!!! And this law is impersonal: it applies to everyone and to every
race!!!
