This month, Sun deploys more than 3,000 JavaStations in its internal network to become the real-world guinea pig for the new Java networking environment. Some of the first applets to be deployed on Java networks will be Corel's Office suite written for Java, although Raduchel suspects that the strategy of IBM's Lotus division to write its Kona software as JavaBean components - little chunks of software that can be selected for specific tasks - will pay off. smh.com.au Roger R
