Eva,
a very good question and one that I have an answer to. I have found that no matter what, I suck at shorting three letter stocks. Going long is ok, but going short, I always get the worst possible fill at the worst possible time and when I cover I seem to pay more than I sold the stock for, even if it is trading below my entry price. With that, I decided that it was important to recognize my limitations and stick with four letter stocks.

Besides, I think that our horses may just be slow starters and will sprint into the finish line and beat those old workhorses by a full length.

I do recommend bookmarking Quote007 as he seems to have the three letter stock thing nailed down.
