Mini-Sized Dow Shatters Previous Volume Record CHICAGO, October 9, 2002--Yesterday's volume in the Chicago Board of Trade's all-electronic mini-sized DowSM futures contract posted another record with 27,049 contracts traded. This broke the previous record of 20,800 contracts set just two weeks prior, on September 19. Average monthly growth in the CBOT® mini-sized Dow since its launch in April 2002 has been 17%.
