I think your disagreement is a semantic one over the meaning of the word ignoramus, which you took to mean ignorant or stupid and Neo meant to use as one who wallows in ignorance, one who is ignorant and makes no effort to learn even if he has the ability to do so.

If you think he is using the word incorrectly you can argue for a better choice of words to convey what he means and steal deal with the actual intent of his statement at least after he has restated it more then once.
