As soon as Iraq is certified "disarmed" and everyone moves on, the inspectors leave, and France and Russia get the sanctions lifted, Saddam will rebuild his WMD programs double-time. Remove the source of the trouble and get it over with. Sounds like a good idea. How do we know in general if any of the ME Arab Muslim countries will do the same. Develop WMD and threaten the USA? This could turn into a very paranoid situation, as if it's not already. Suffice to say the ME Arabs focus is on Israel and the Palestinian situation. Lessen that crisis and tension drops all round imho. So I'm still bemused why Bush put out the clampers on Tony Blairs efforts in that direction ??? Message 18079674
