In light of your insightful statement, I must be a "petty partisan pinhead" as you so aptly put it, since I do not agree with the current US administration on this issue. What a penetrating observation. I never knew this about myself. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

9/11 was a horrible act of terrorism and a tragedy. However, it does not and should not give the country that was hit permission to lash out to any country it feels like.

And sooner or later, the American public should realize that it was Saudi nationals funded at large by Saudi money who died in those planes that were used as darts on WTC. Iraq was nowhere in this scheme until, right after Afghanistan, the US administration decided one day that Saddam was so dangerous that he had to be ousted right away, no matter what the cost.
