If you read my posts carefully, you would know that I am not an enthusiastic supporter of the war on Iraq. But, if anything, the shallow, inconsistent, emotional arguments of the left wingers make me question my opposition to the war on Iraq. My gut feeling is that pre-emptive war on Iraq is not a good thing. But I see people I respect support Bush (with different level of enthusiasm), and the opponents being the "usual suspects" (various gruppings of nutcases), using weak arguments that are based not on logic or principle, but on emotion, self serving politics, knee jerk reactions. Listening to an idiot like your congressman makes me, if anything, move closer to Bush's opinion than the opposition's.
There are some very intelligent people with cogent arguments making the case against a pre-emptive strike against Iraq. If you are not hearing them, then you are doing it by intent.
As for Streisand et al, just for the record, they are no worse or no more ridiculous than the Coulters and Limbaughs of your world.
And as for my Congressman, go stick it where the sun don't shine!
