The speculation about the 04 VP spot was terrific. Cheney against Rice. Great gossip material. Why the adversarial nature of the speculation? Cheney is getting a bit long in tooth and has health problems. He might very well voluntarily relinquish the VP slot, leaving the door open to CR, whose candidacy would make mincemeat out of a lot of Demo. sacred cows. It would be a terrific combination that would ensure 43's re-election.
