Of course I have stats dating much further back than that.

The biggest similarities 2002 with the 74' Bear are its intensity, SPX was the last major index standing and it held, and the NYSE Member data are strikingly similar.

Fosback called the NYSE Off Floor Net Balance Index, a "once in a generation buy signal". And the data I have been referring to for some time suggest this once in a generation buy signal IS MUCH MORE BULLISH TODAY THAN IN '74. That was the purpose of this post.

I fail to understand how you are making SPX comparisons today vs 1932 on something that didn't even exist. Can you help me out with what you are saying?
