OK, I withdraw that,then. I won't even press the idea that it is objective, since I don't really care, and that was a false alley anyway. What is important is that karen acknowledges that I have a right to influence through persuasion, but does not have anything better to say about negative arguments or attitude except that they are negative. Persuasion is persuasion. If the reasoning dwells on disadvantages, or I show that I have disapproval, it may or may not be politic, but she has failed to show how it is fundamentally different from any other persuasion.
