Cax, I think it's the bottom line, the cash in the bank, the management [signs off on CEO guarantee of accounts straight away, no mucking about], the market size, the growth rate, the technology trajectory, the wide and widening technology portfolio, the lack of competition. To announce payment of dividends when others are cutting theirs or will never have one, would cause a wave of excitement in the current market mayhem and send the share price soaring.
It would also be really great to start receiving payment after all these years of investing, investing and sinking more and more into research, development, growth and related ventures. I would love to get cash in the mail. I've got some big tax losses waiting for some $$ to come home to roost.
I say start paying half the bottom line as dividends. No, make that the whole bottom line [there isn't much of a bottom line with that proforma stuff not actually being payable]. Pay out some of the cash hoard too - there are a lot of great investments I've got lined up for it.
I don't want Jeff Jacobs or whoever is running the 'Spend the Money Department' deciding what to spend it on just to use it up. Leap Wireless, Vesper, Pegaso and Net to Zero weren't so hot. Then again, if they can make Globalstar fly, that would be worth it.
Please, please, please - send me some of my money.
