Shots to the body with a .223 round were intended to wound......severely enough to engage others in aid to the victim. Shots to the head will likely kill. The sniper seems to be possibly only an average shot with possibly a very accurate rifle and scope. Typical .223's (like a Rem. 700 Police) with a match barrel and scope can shoot under 1MOA at the range, IOW a group of shots within a 1 in. diameter at 100 yds. Stock AR's are under 2 in normally. What this suggests to me is that he is shooting from good cover but has rushed some shots for unknown reasons. He does not seem to be meticulous in that sense and it makes me doubt he ever did this work in the military or police.

Staying with the same vehicle will work against him and so far there is no stolen car MO. Witnesses at the last incident heard the shot and reported a white van (minivan with no windows ala a cargo or work van.)

If the tarot card holds up as a piece of evidence he may just be an anarchist type like the unabomber but with no seeming political message....yet.

If he keeps up this pace I think he'll be caught but if he backs off or moves he could be successful for a much longer time. He may not be able to slow down as the frenzy of killing becomes more addictive and the thrill of getting away with it more empowering.
