BP,

The buying of calls near lows is usually a bullish sign. It is hard to see from our position, however. Bruce has an advantage, but he is limited as to what he can share.

Novell had very active call buying near highs several times which has turned out to be a warning. It's usually a contrary indicator.

As an example, Standard Microsystems (SMSC) had very high (relatively-it's a small company) call volume the end of last month and early July. Right before the stock jumped from the mid $8's to $11 3/4, on no news.

Presience? Sorry, I'm giggling as I wrote that. Phone calls are more likely!
