Thanks for posting a link which states that the CIA was inciting the Miskitos to revolt in 1979. However, I won't use it to support my case, since the source is somewhat dubious.

So, 12 Miskitos were killed by the Sandinistas in Nicaragua. In contrast, every other country in the area was slaughtering the Indians by the thousands (hundreds of thousands in some). Note that Nicaragua was the only country in the area which managed to pull itself free of American-sponsored dictatorship. It is no coincidence.
