Latest news - not good. Here is their press release. Looks like I didn't do too well on this one, but maybe there is some hope left. At least they have other properties that are still working.

Best wishes,
Richard

Mr Robert Pincombe reports
The L Jones No. 1 well at Bacon Island in San Joaquin County, California reached a total depth of 10,000 ft ten days after commencement of drilling. Although several hundred feet of targeted sands were encountered, no economic accumulations of hydrocarbons showed in well logs. The well has been partially plugged back and placed on a suspended status until studies are completed on new data acquired. The well has not been abandoned, as advanced logging tools, including a six electrode dipmeter, have been used to evaluate whether the productive traps still thought to be on the property are within reach of the company's present well bore. A decision will be made on a partial redrill program in the near future.

Other upcoming drilling programs the company will be participating in this year include two wells in the Turner Valley area of Alberta, one farmed out 100% to a major company and the other 60%; a horizontal side track well on one of the company's producing Chestermere wells to increase oil production; a new well on the company's Forum prospect in Los Angeles; and a well on the company's 80,000 acre Cochise prospect in Arizona. These events will be reported on in detail as they develop.
