Hi Archie

Sorry it took so long for me to reply to your post. On the account of the modem, it seems a little far fetched-never heard of such a product and one would conjecture that Iomega should be more focused on their current product line.

So its finally earnings. Its been two months of bloodbath and volitility for iomega. In fact (I think), today marked the first time in two months that Iomega was actually up three days in a row. And yes, now the prosperity issue for iomega; Are we talking about the Company or the stock? Lets analyze this issue with the earnings announced today @ .11. Good growth of revenues from last quarter (28% was it?). On many posts, people were expecting revenues greater than 300 million and earnings of .14 (most numbers were above .12). Sure those numbers would have been great and I really wanted to see them but were they really attainable with the 2nd quarter production capacity. THE NUMBER I WOULD REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS THE BACKLOG NUMBER (or book to bill if they had one).

Now to the stock, 11 cents is way below the conservative numbers posted on most threads. I remember the first quarter earnings, people were expecting 18 cents or more and it came out at .16. Stock market-go figure. Two things I'll mention is the figure "35% Institutional owned" and "18 million shorters". One thing I've learned over the years is that the market continues to humble big and small investors alike.

Wishing You the Best

Mac
